FUMITAKA TAKANO
■Biography
Fumitaka's passion for creativity has remained unwavering since the beginning of his career at ADK Tokyo, one of Japan's top full-service advertising agencies. As a creative director and communication architect, he has developed an unconventional creative vision, harnessing the power of creativity to find solutions. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he initiated the establishment of the agency's first-ever digital creative division, 'NOIMAN,' in 2014. He pushed the boundaries of digital creativity even further, introducing an innovative approach across digital and traditional platforms, enhancing brand equity, and generating a positive ROI. Throughout his career, Fumitaka has collaborated with well-known domestic and global brands like Toyota, Air New Zealand, Ikea, Mondelez, and VISA, among others.
In 2019, he became an ECD at Geometry Ogilvy Japan. His role involved expanding the agency's creative capabilities and delivering transformative solutions to create exceptional brand experiences. During his time there, he successfully executed a range of projects, including numerous launches of new products for clients like LEGO, DYSON, and BAT. By 2022, Fumitaka was invited to join Special Group, an independent creative agency based in Australia, as an ECD to establish their Tokyo office.
Fumitaka's work has received recognition at various international festivals, including Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, The One Show, D&AD, New York Festivals, and Adfest. He has also served as a jury member for Cyber (2014) and Promo & Activation (2016) at Cannes Lions, as well as Promo & Direct and Digital & Mobile at Spikes Asia, and Cyber at Adfest.
